Samantha Lach, LCPC, Therapist

Samantha Lach, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Bricolage Wellness who sees clients in the Lombard location.

Hey, I’m Samantha Lach, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, but you can call me a non-judgmental insight builder, a breaker of internal suffering patterns, and a fierce advocate for lives filled with joy, pleasure, and self-acceptance.

I deeply believe that relationships have the ability to help us heal and help us grow to be the best versions of ourselves. As a therapist, I cherish the opportunity to walk alongside my clients as they learn to reflect on the pain and losses in their lives and help them as they take the journey towards health and wellness.

As someone who has also deeply understood the pain of loss and triumph of healing, walking the road to wellness alone can feel scary. It’s important to build an important network of people who are there to support you on your journey- to educate you, to support you, to laugh with you, and to challenge you. For people that have operated in their worlds as "someone who usually cares for others first" or who  has worked hard to make the "right” choices as to limit mistakes or pain, it can feel really upsetting to finally ask for help for yourself. I’m here to tell you it’s okay.

I have expertise in working with clients struggling with pelvic floor pain or dysfunction, perinatal and postpartum issues, grief and loss, depression, trauma, interrelationship struggles, life transitions,  self-esteem issues, and identity and role exploration. I ground my work in building a strong relationship with my clients by creating a safe space free from judgment to explore living a life aligned with their values and wants. One size does not fit all, and I approach each client individually and believe that it is my role as a therapist to follow their pace of healing. My approach to therapy is grounded in Client-Centered and Psychodynamic theories, and I skillfully integrate other evidenced-based theories such as: Motivational Interviewing, Health at Every Size (HAES), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques and mindfulness exercises.

In my personal time, I have become an avid home cooking enthusiast and love traveling with loved ones to different places to experience different cultures. I am also a shameless broadway show tune streamer and am a pooper-scooper extraordinaire for my rescue pup, Poe.
