“There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium; and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how it compares with other expressions.  It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you.” - Martha Graham

Believe it or not, you have what you need to heal. Inside you is a little something that knows your next move. That little something might be blocked, or squished, or trampled on, but I’m here to help you find it, dust it off, and let it take the reigns.

I’m a dance/movement therapist and licensed professional counselor. I’m here to collaborate with you on this project called your life. What’s making you feel stuck? Where do you belong? What gives you life? You’re yelling the big questions into the abyss, and are frustrated that the empty space isn’t responding. Whatever you’re struggling with, you feel disconnected from yourself. Maybe you feel pulled in many different directions, and like the world out there is just too much.

Using gentle movement, embodied questioning, and mindfulness, I assist you in befriending your body and discovering what makes you dance (literally or figuratively). Together, we may talk, meditate, and get creative about how to get you where you want to be. The practice of dance/movement therapy may look different with every individual, but ultimately, it’s about helping you create movement where you are stuck and create form out of what feels out of control.

I specialize in supporting those who struggle with a sense of belonging, purpose and career, spirituality, intimacy issues, depression, anxiety, body image, grief and loss.

As someone who has never quite fit the mold, I understand the feelings of isolation, confusion, and grief that come along with finding, accepting, and proclaiming your true self. With my compassionate, client-centered approach I aim to help you find home in your body and your place in the world.
