The idea of sitting down and relaxing for the evening brings you more fear than relief. Every time you stop doing something, the thoughts become so overwhelming, you feel like your drowning. So you stay busy.
Anything you can do to distract yourself. But, the thoughts keep coming back. Even more intense than ever. The more you avoid these thoughts, and the uncomfortable emotions that accompany these thoughts, the more the thoughts multiply.
